Haryana Police SI 2021 Syllabus – Download Pdf

Haryana Police SI Examination is conducted by Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) for the recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) of Group C in the Haryana State Police Department.

The Recruitment Exam will be conducted through OMR based. There is lot of time for students to exam preparation. So, we advise you that please keep focus on your study.

Qualification

The candidates who successfully clear the 3rd stage are called for the final verification round of scrutiny.

  • Education (maximum 7 marks)

4 marks awarded to applicants with a degree in Law, Computer Engineering / Science, Forensic Medicine, Forensic Science, Police Science and Criminology and post-graduate candidates receive an additional 3 marks.

  • NCC Certificate (Maximum 3 marks)

Candidates with NCC certificates for levels A, B or C will receive additional marks of 1,2 or 3 for both the SI and Constable positions, respectively.

Socio-Economic Criteria & Experience

An additional weightage of 10% marks has been set by the Commission under miscellaneous marking scheme of which:

  • 5 marks to be awarded if neither the applicant nor any relative of the applicant such as their spouse, father, mother, brother, and son is/was or has been a regular employee in any Department/Corporation/Board/Company/Authority of Government of Haryana or any other State Government or Government of India.
  • 5 marks shall be awarded if:
  • The applicant is a widow.
  • If the first or second child and his father died before attaining 42 years of age.
  • If the first or second child and his father died before the applicant attained 15 years of age.
  • 5 marks will be given if the applicant belongs to a denotified tribe (Tapriwas Jatis and Vimukt Jatis) or the Nomadic Tribe of Haryana which is neither SC nor BC.
  • A maximum of 8 marks has been kept based on experience when necessary or a contract employee.

Important Points

  • HSSC SI Exam consists of multiple-choice questions.
  • This test comprises 80% weightage of the recruitment process.
  • The exam will be a 1.5-hour exam with 80 marks.
  • The medium of examination shall be bilingual i.e. both in English as well as in Hindi.
  • There shall be at least (10) questions relating to basic knowledge of computers.

Physical Screening Test Pattern (PST)

Candidates who belong to dependents of Ex-servicemen and dependent of Freedom Fighter categories are required to qualify in Physical Screening Test with similar standard to the candidates who belong to the other categories such as General, OBC-A, BC-B, SC etc.

Candidates qualifying the knowledge test, equal to 7 times the number of vacancies will appear for the physical screening test which is only qualifying in nature. It would judge the physical fitness and endurance of candidates. Here is a chart that shows the exact distance the candidates are required to cross in a given duration of time:

Note:

  • This test will be of qualifying in nature.
  • Only the candidates who qualify the standards prescribed for PST shall be allowed to take part in the further process of selection.

Physical Measurement Test Pattern (PMT)

The candidates who qualify the physical screening test (PST) of Haryana Police Recruitment exam shall undergo Physical Measurement Test Pattern (PMT). They will be required to fulfil the criteria as given below:

Haryana Police Sub Inspector Syllabus 2021

Haryana Police SI Syllabus will be as follows:

  • General Studies

In this objective of questions about general knowledge of surrounding society of the candidates to test the awareness about surrounding activities. History of India (Haryana mostly) & its Adjacent Countries, Culture, Geography, Economical Scenario and Constitution of India & State Administration, Political series of Country, Five-Year Plan, Contribution of Haryana in National Movement.

  • Agriculture

Knowledge of History/ Facts of Agriculture, Fruits & Vegetable, Crop Production, Soil, Fertility, Fertilizing, Irrigation and Damage, Weed/Pests Control, Types of Crops, Soil & Land, Horticulture, Plantation and Deforestation etc.

  • Animal Husbandry

Animal Nutrition and nutritional importance, Animal breeds, importance of animal, Livestock farming, Dairy, diseases and symptoms in animal etc.

  • Reasoning

It will include the question of both verbal and non-verbal type. Question will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, problem solving, relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions, Venn diagrams, relationship concepts and Ability to observe and distinguish patterns etc.

  • Current Affairs

Questions will be asked from Indian Current Events, General Science, General Knowledge. Focus will be mainly on Current affairs of National & International news, Important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture.

  • Numerical Ability

The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.

  • General Science

These tests are designed to test the knowledge and competencies for scientific methodology concepts, principles, techniques and physics, chemistry, life sciences (Biology), the earth/ space sciences, technologies etc.

Document Verification
